BGN hosts major Network Dinner in Cape Town

61 BGN members, affiliates and clients from 16 countries met on 19 March 2007 during the INSOL conference in Cape Town at a dinner hosted by BGN Executive Chairman, Nick Hood and Executive Director, Michael Martinez Ferber.

Guests included senior judges, academics, lawyers and bankers from around the world, including representatives from Barclays and Standard Chartered.

Those attending the dinner reflected the broad spread of professional skills, which makes BGN unique as a truly multi-disciplined network. Apart from a full range of professionals from the UK, they included profit improvement consultants from South Africa, forensic accountants from France and Germany, insolvency practitioners from Australia, Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, Kenya and South Africa and insolvency lawyers from India, the Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Switzerland and the USA.


Nick Hood, Executive Chairman of BGN, said:

“It was wonderful to host a dinner which brought together so many like-minded experts from the insolvency and restructuring community. This is now the third BGN dinner since the network was launched in September 2006, following equally successful evenings in Bucharest and Vienna.

So much of the interaction within BGN is carried out in the electronic world of cyberspace that it was very satisfying to enable BGN members and clients to meet face to face to strengthen the bonds created by working together around the world.”
