How to join BGN

The broad principle of the association is that it will only admit one member in each professional discipline in each country, except in jurisdictions where regional or geographic considerations dictate otherwise, or where an existing member agrees that multiple representation is appropriate.

BGN has members in many countries but is seeking members in those countries where it is not already represented and in professional disciplines not currently represented in other countries.

If you wish to apply for membership of BGN, the procedure is:
  • Please click hereclick here to complete the initial BGN Membership Inquiry form
  • Your firm’s details will be sent to the Operational Committee.  If your details are submitted via your regional co-ordinator, they will be asked to confirm that there are no geographical conflicts with existing members
  • If there is an existing member in your professional discipline in your country, the application will be considered by the Operational Committee and the appropriate procedures will be followed in deciding whether a second member should be admitted in your country
  • If there no potential conflicts, you will be sent an application form and an invoice for the initial practice review (IPR) contribution
  • On return of your application form and IPR contribution, you will be asked to provide references, which will then be taken up by the association.
  • Subject to the receipt by the association of satisfactory references, you will be invited to join BGN and will be invoiced for the joining fee and the balance of the annual fee for the year
