Vienna Seminar brings together top Austrian bankers

BGN’s Austrian members, Urbanek Lind Schmied Reisch and Conspectra, co-hosted a well-attended seminar on banking and insolvency issues in Vienna on 6 March 2007, highlighting issues for bankers with security and insolvency law in Central and South Eastern Europe.

They were assisted by accountants, TPA Horwath, who provided their excellent facilities for the meeting.

Over 60 bankers, representing all of Austria’s leading banks, heard presentations by BGN members from the region and took the opportunity to ask searching questions on key topics.

Nick Hood, Executive Chairman of BGN, opened the seminar with a presentation on Globalization, putting the regional issues into an international context. He urged the bankers in the audience to start dealing with the problems of struggling businesses as early possible, so that the best outcome for all of the stakeholders could be achieved by expert professionals.



The speakers and delegates stayed on after the formal sessions to enjoy TPA Horwath’s fine hospitality.
